It might not come as a supprise for people that see my flickr but, im a big fan of startrails and long exposure photography.
So with talk of the nothern lights being visable from deepest darkest Yorkshire, i decided to try and capture them (it turns out they were lying) so i tried something ive not done before with star trails, taking them through a window with the frame visable, giving the trails more of a context, often they just end up looking like white and blue lines across the sky with no real reasoning behind them...
here is what i managed, and for the ones who are interested... there are 305 images stacked with startrails.de, they were 20 second exposures, iso100 at F4.0
As soon as it stops raining i want to re-visit this image and try to reduce the ammount of glare on the left hand side as it seems it caused a reflection in the window which i find a bit distracting...
If you have any hints, tips or comments please feel free to leave them below :)
Thanks
